TATRA Chair by Thonet with Golden Triangles
One of the loveliest piece of the MidMod era, walnut “Tatra” chairs originally designed by Antonín Šuman for Thonet. We found them in pieces, a most of the screws and pillows needed to be replaced. We hope Anonín would love the new upholstery we designed for the chairs. We didn’t give up his concept about the unremovable pillow, but we played with colours and patterns. We painted rectangular motives on linen, and after digitalisation we printed it on to the fabrics. So the seats look like as they just were painted, but all of the fabrics are digitally painted, so there is no fuss with cleaning. The special lentil head copper screws arrived from a Czech store. 8 pieces are available.
