White Floor Lamp with Cake Shaped Shade

We are addicted to light, especially like strange and lovely design products of the sixties. Walnut Safari Chair by Kaare Klint with Yellow Linen

, , ,
The father of the former owner of this Safari Chair worked at the Carl Hansen factory, and the he got the parts of his chairs as a gift from the workshop. He assembled his chairs at home, and his wife made a not authentic artificial fur upholstery for them. We rescued them from the fur coats, and after a full refurbishment - included the restoration of the original walnut colour of the beech wood parts and the lovely sun yellow linen upholstery. The armrests are the original leather pieces. Dimensions: 58 x 76 x 63 cm, sh: 39.5 cm

Teak Sewing Table by Ilse Möbel with a Matching Pillow

, , ,
A high quality piece from the 50s Germany, the teak wood parts needed just a little touch to look like new. We emphasised the lovely curves of the edge with a matching green line. The drawer has got lovely copper parts and a safety knob inside, which is saving it from falling out (imagine that mass, if all the balls and needles ran away!). The original pattern of the soft drawer was love at first sight. The umbrellas, shoes, gloves, flowers and a little bird in an old-fashioned cage became highlights in our studio. We have chosen our favourite character, the birdie, we have blown it up and printed to old gold fabrics, which we used as a pillow cover. The pillow is our gift to the future owner of the cabinet. Dimensions: 69.5 x 55 x 44 cm

Orange / Grey Edition of TATRA Chair by Thonet

We didn’t give up his concept about the unremovable pillow, but we played with colours and patterns.

We painted triangle motives on linen, and after digitalisation we printed it on to the fabrics. Ray of Light Dining Set from the 50s

, , , ,
Geniously simple beech dining set from the fifties. Watching rays of sunlight playing on walls and the furniture means for us happiness, so this lovely view inspired the painted motives on the chairs, extended with the warmth of some walnut coloured oil. We really like the meeting point of the walnut and yellow lines. They are a dining set, you can’t buy only one. Dimensions: 78 x 43 x 45.5 cm, sh: 46.5 cm

Double-Faced Lounge Chair

We found this lovely armchair covered with artificial leather upholstery. There used to be a lot of scratches and holes on it, but every injuries were needled carefully. We were impressed by this lovely DIY story, so we decided to use two pieces of fabrics to cover this armchair reminding to the original version. The legs are fully polished and instead of poisoning lacquer we used natural products to protect wooden parts.

Dimensions: 71 x 73 x 73 cm, sh: 35 cm

Pair of Blue Beech Armchairs

,
We worked a lot to save this pair of Beech armchairs from the layers of yellow lacquer, which used to cover it everywhere. We got a silky surface of Beech wood, and we added a secret ingredient to the wax to keep the original colour of the wood. Our favourite details were the sticked backrest, which we emphasised with middle grey paint and we used the same colour at the edge of the upholstery. The pillows got nice, cleanable fabrics in blue colour. They are a pair, so we don't want to separate them.

Small Teak Desk with Black Glass Inlay

, ,
This small desk is a real treasure, with its elegantly slim black legs and teak veneers. We felt in love with the long handles as well, which we painted black to put them in the spotlight. Originally the top of the desk was a black glass top, but there used to be broken, so we cut a square shape glass from the original piece and we used it to create a practical top for the desk. We chose a warm and strong wooden veneer for the other part of the top, it feels so good to touch it!
