Tatra Nabytok is a renowned Czech furniture manufacturer founded in 1945 in Prievidza, Slovakia. The factory began its operations in the premises of the famous Bata shoe factory and by the 1960s had become the largest furniture manufacturer in Czechoslovakia. Tatra Nabytok was one of the most well-known furniture manufacturers of its time, producing many iconic pieces that are still sought after by design enthusiasts today. The factory’s products included dining tables, chairs, display cabinets, chests of drawers and other furniture that bore the hallmarks of the mid-century modern style. Tatra Nabytok’s furniture was not only aesthetically appealing, but also extremely durable and functional.
